The village celebrates its cultural roots by promoting fine arts along its intimate Main Street.  The Hudson River School of Art began in Catskill, Thomas Cole’s beloved village, almost two centuries ago.  The Catskill Gallery Association hosts a series of events – art openings, seminars, workshops, music, and dance – in its efforts to continue the legacy and further artistic tradition.
